I am crazy for anything in a gold metal finish these days ranging from faucets, hardware, lighting, jewelry, and even my latest iPhone.

I’ve always loved a “living” finish on metal.  The living finish refers to an unlacquered metal usually bronze or brass that patinas with use and exposure to the elements.  The living finish is unpredictable and that is what is so lovely and intriguing about it.

I have used a living finish on multiple projects including the powder room sink in this image below featuring a Stone Forest bronze vessel sink.

Gold can be glamorous and rich enhancing the colors it surrounds whether in interiors or fashion.  I am also on the prowl these days for artisan made gold jewelry, for myself, of course.  Call me a gold digger!  I am particularly attracted to the contemporary designs in bronze.  I find them warm and quite easy to mix with other metals.

Check out my latest favorite finds in metal jewelry from Hitchcock Madrona here in Seattle.  They always seem to inspire my interiors projects.
