I’m quite smitten with the vintage Murano glass and have been for quite some time.

I’ve always admired the work of Dallas designer, Jan Showers, who has given many Murano glass pieces a new life on her forever glamourous projects.

Murano glass dates back centuries, but the lovelies that land here in the U.S. are most likely collectibles from travels to Italy or thru the antiques circuit of importers like Jan.

A simple Murano bowl, sconce, or lamp can add that touch of glamour and spark to any room as seen in the images above.

I have been most successful in finding vintage Murano glass at estate sales and antique malls.  Although, there is a nice assortment listed on eBay and Etsy from time to time.   And….. when I run into one of these little treasures, I snag it and stash it for my next lucky project.  Other favorite resources for vintage Murano glass include: janshowers.com and 1stdibs.com
