I like to install pairs.  Some times to follow the symmetry of the architecture that is already established, and some times to create a sense of balance and rhythm that does not already exist.

Interior designer, Victoria Hagan, is one of the best at using pairs in her tailored interiors projects as seen in the above below.   I refer to this as ” double vision” and that’s a good thing.  Developing a space through the use of repetition makes for a tailored and harmonious environment.  It’s the balance of pairs that creates a sense of calmness and orderliness.

AD VHagan pairs

When I am overwhelmed with what to do in a space, I look first for an opportunity to use a pair.
