As the days get shorter, I find myself taking client appointments earlier and earlier in the day.  Why?  We loose light!

It is essential that we have good light when reviewing any surface samples.  Not only is it important to have good light to select paint, it is also critical when choosing flooring, wall tile, wallcoverings, and any textiles.

I always encourage my clients to keep samples after a meeting. This allows them to look at the selections in different times of the day in their home to ensure the selection is a good choice. (For example, what might look nice during the daylight, might die or disappear at night.)

But, for the purposes of making those initial selections, I prefer to review them between 10 am and 2pm. If facing east, I prefer morning. If facing west, I prefer afternoon. It all has to do with having good light!
