I had such a fun time at Bark Art, an annual charity event held by LUXE magazine, at the Seattle Design Center earlier this summer.

Bark Art is the brain child of Pacific Northwest publisher for LUXE, Debby Steiner.  The annual event includes a dog themed painting and crafts party for charity.  Area builders, interior designers, architects, and landscape designers are assembled into teams to create dog art for kids in need.  In addition to a fun filled night of painting, Bark Art included a  silent auction and a time to raise the paddle.

This year’s charity choice was the Assistance League of Seattle.  The money raised will supply kids who have been stricken with poverty.  ALS provides each child with a bag of hygiene supplies and much needed clothing.

As we have all heard and /or experienced before, giving always gives back.  I met the most amazing industry partners and caught up with many I have not seen for some while.  We had a ball painting together for a cause ever so worthy.  At the end of the night, I felt like the receiver not the giver.
